ABOUT

Vero Glass & Mirror is a family-owned business that has been providing impact-resistant windows and doors to Vero Beach and the Treasure Coast since 1944. President, Daniel Beard, his son Derek  and Daughter-in-law Stephanie have assembled a team of knowledgeable and reliable personnel proficient in both commercial and residential sales and installation. Those who are not family members, are trusted long-time friends and co-workers that are considered to be like family.

We are a Florida State Licensed Glass and Glazing Contractor/Specialty Contractor (SCC131151280 / SCC131151782). We handle the entire permitting and installation process in-house. We stand behind all our work and therefore demonstrate great passion and commitment for each and every job.

MEET THE TEAM

Daniel Beard
President & Residential Sales

Dan began his career in the glass and glazing industry as an apprentice in 1983. He’s worked alongside the best tradesmen in the business and was among the first contractors in Florida to become state-certified in glass and glazing.

In 2015, Dan along with his son, Derek, bought Vero Glass & Mirror and quickly turned the struggling company into a successful family business. Dan’s mastery of the trades allows him to advise customers on what products will best fit their needs while assuring code compliance.

While Dan’s honest approach and work ethic is a driving force behind the company’s success, what he’s most proud of is being a leader to the next generation of glazing professionals. Dan is a Vero Beach native and enjoys traveling with wife, Tina, as well as spending time with their grandchildren. He also likes to play golf and being involved in the community.

Derek Beard
Vice President & Field Supervisor

A trusted, state-certified glass and glazing contractor, Derek’s vast knowledge of our products and their proper installation is a primary reason why Vero Glass & Mirror continues to earn accolades from clients and contractors alike.

Derek provides straightforward solutions to complicated projects. From intricate commercial projects to custom window and door installations with stunning ocean views, he and his team of expert tradespeople have built a reputation for exceeding expectations where others fall short.

While delivering superior service is a priority for Derek, it’s also important for him to give back to the community by supporting local charities. A Vero Beach native, Derek enjoys fishing, golfing and spending time outdoors with family and friends. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Stephanie, and is a proud father to their daughter, Saylor.

Stephanie Beard
CFO & Human Resources

Working with family and friends might be challenging for some companies, but it’s the very reason why Vero Glass & Mirror retains highly skilled professionals and continues to provide exceptional customer service.

With 10 years of prior administrative experience, Stephanie wears many hats and performs many jobs. By managing company finances and human resources, Stephanie ensures employees are taken care of as our business continues to grow. She believes celebrating personal milestones and rewarding employees for a job well done ultimately leads to a higher quality of work and attention to detail.

Stephanie moved to Vero Beach during elementary school where she eventually fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Derek. She’s a devoted mother to their daughter, Saylor. When she’s not helping a customer or an employee, Stephanie can usually be found enjoying the beach with family or shopping with friends.

Joe Heaton
Vice President of Sales

Having worked under the direction of multiple master craftsmen, Joe appreciates seeing complicated projects come to life. His wealth of knowledge across many different trades allows Vero Glass & Mirror to tackle jobs most companies shy away from or say can’t be done.

Whether conceptualizing and installing detailed mirror arrangements or taking over where another company walked away from a contract, Joe’s expertise is often the reason why clients give us a call.

Joe loves seeing young people finding an interest in the trades and opening their eyes to all of the possibilities in the construction industry. In his downtime, he and his wife, Michaela, enjoy the outdoors and traveling together. Joe is also an avid fisherman and diver.

Brien Sartain
General Manger

When it comes to customer service and satisfaction, no one can match Brien’s abilities. A trusted member of the Vero Glass & Mirror management team, he knows everything about our windows, doors, mirrors, shower enclosures and so much more.

Brien came up through the ranks as an installer, so he understands all aspects of the installation and service process. He especially appreciates the camaraderie amongst our team, something he
believes our clients take notice of when discussing a project. His background in education and business management is an asset to the company.

He’s the proud father of three children - Jillien, Amelia and Max - and spends his free time coaching high school lacrosse or surfing.

Jeremy Beard
Inside Sales & New Construction Project Manager

Jeremy helps clients turn their dreams into reality by providing them with a variety of quality products designed to fit their specific needs. He takes pride in offering homeowners and contractors innovative options for any budget or reasonable timeline.

Jeremy is a wealth of knowledge and enjoys sharing information about everything Vero Glass & Mirror has to offer. His broad experience as an installer and service technician allows him to accurately diagnose problems and deliver simple solutions.

When Jeremy isn’t assisting a homeowner in our showroom or reviewing blueprints, he enjoys catching fish, diving in the ocean or spending time outdoors with his wife, Jessica, and son, Caden.

Steve Sartain
Receiving Manager

Steve and his family moved to Sebastian in 1970 as his father was a commercial fisherman. Steve was one of the last students to attend Sebastian Elementary and was in the first class at Sebastian Jr. High School.

Steve began his career in the glass industry at just 18 years old, working with a small glass company in Wabasso. There he learned about storefront installation, window service, mirrors and fixed glass. After meeting Daniel Beard, who at the time worked at another glass company in town, Steve was given an offer to join their team.

Steve spent the next 29 years gaining expertise in the glass industry. Years later, Steve and Dan are working together again at Vero Glass & Mirror. With his over 34 years in the business, he is truly an expert in the business and an invaluable asset.

Steve has four children of his own and two adopted children. His greatest achievement is being a good father and grandfather to his six grandchildren. His hobbies include gardening, boating and an interest in history of our area.

Kim Denning
Materials Manager

Kim joined Vero Glass & Mirror in November 1999 to help out in our fabrication shop. Her days typically included repairing broken windows, cutting glass and mirror, and occasionally going out in the field to assist in shower installations.

In 2001, Kim transitioned into the office where she assisted retail customers, managed the shop employees, and scheduled the service crews. In 2002, she was promoted to her current position as Materials Manager. Her duties include ordering job materials, checking in materials received, and aiding the salesman with their estimating process as needed.

With her years of experience and a wide range of knowledge, Kim is a great asset to Vero Glass & Mirror. Kim and her husband Jeff have been married for 29 years and have three children and a grandson. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
